Description
This presentation will benchmark and explore the space of sustainability in health care systems. Showing what sustainability is, what it means to health care systems, why this area is taboo to Americans, and some examples of Applied Solutions in this space.
Abstract
Health care is a prime example of a field that should go hand in hand with the sustainability of the human condition. Yet it is one of the most wasteful industries, especially in America, because we do not take risks to explore reusability or cost reduction in a such a fragile environment. Moving to the future, will health care be the exception industry while every other one is fundamentally changing practices to better adapt to a more sustainable world, or is health care just behind the curve? This presentation will explore these questions and show several examples of applied solutions in the space to stimulate discussion on this topic.
