Countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, specifically Nigeria, rely heavily on fossil fuels for both export earnings and citizens’ incomes. In recent years, Nigeria has been investing in renewable energy and resources to make use of the large oil and natural gas reserves in their country. In this paper, researchers examine the difficulties faced by Nigeria and propose solutions for adopting cleaner, renewable energy.
