The annual conference is a forum for exchanging knowledge and discoveries in the Industrial and Systems Engineering research and practitioner communities.
We are interested in research, applied solutions case studies (both industry experience and research pilot studies), workshops, etc. that include the application of industrial and systems engineering methods in support of environmental, community, or corporate and non-profit sustainability (refer to the UN Sustainable Development Goals).
We welcome presentations identifying how ISEs can take or have taken a leadership role in Sustainable Development, guiding and inspiring those interested in a similar career, as well as presentations identifying areas where ISE technologies and methods need to be improved or expanded to incorporate social and environmental factors in addition to economic optimization. There is also great interest in the potential effect of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on sustainable development.
